"Supply," Petrolsoft's automated inventory management and scheduling software, will first be implemented throughout ARCO's company-owned sites to demonstrate success before rolling it out to the company's franchised sites.
Petrolsoft's "Supply" will automate ARCO's existing internally developed system for store-owned sites and manual ordering system for franchisees, resulting in a fully-integrated retail supply chain management system. ARCO will utilize both the scheduling and ordering components of "Supply." "Supply" standardizes ARCO's downstream supply chain practices with a single system without compromising the company's ability to handle its high-volume business processes.
"Supply" gives ARCO the power to forecast customer demand and optimally schedule the distribution of petroleum product. With "Supply," ARCO has the power to estimate demand for its fuel products on a daily basis. The switch to Petrolsoft will also result in a significant reduction in inventory and secondary transportation costs for ARCO.
