 ARCO MAKES $200 MILLION OFFERING OF 'SERIES B' MEDIUM TERM NOTES
 LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCO (NYSE: ARC) announced today that a public offering on a continuing basis of $200 million medium term notes, series B, due from nine months to 30 years from date of issue is being made through Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch & Co. and JP Morgan Securities Inc.
 The securities are being offered under a shelf registration statement filed by the company on Jan. 6, 1992.
 Proceeds of the issue, together with internally generated funds, will be used for general corporate purposes.
 The interest rates and other terms of the notes will be established by the company from time to time.
