ARCHER COMMUNICATIONS INC. AND ANALOG DEVICES, INC. PROVIDE COMPETITIVE EDGE

 CALGARY, Nov. 16 ~CNW~ - ARCHER COMMUNICATIONS INC. (NASDAQ: QSNDF; TSE: AAZ) today joined forces with Analog Devices, Inc., in its Signal Computing initiative to provide PC manufacturers with a competitive advantage in soundboards. Analog Devices' reference design kit for the "Echo (R) Personal Audio Card" will offer Archer's patented QSound algorithm as part of its primary music synthesis solution. The "Echo (R) Personal Audio Card" supports SoundBlaster (R) and Ad Lib (R) compatible applications and with QSound enhanced music synthesis, offers new depth and clarity at affordable price points. A royalty will be paid to Archer for each audio card sold which incorporates the QSound technology.
 According to Analog Devices, "this is the first announcement of a PC product to incorporate QSound Virtual Audio for improved realism of popular PC games. Operating with two speakers placed aside a standard PC, QSound creates an exciting 3-D like user experience."
