The product, a propoxylated trimethylolpropane (TMP TMP (thymidine monophosphate): see thymine. ) polyol containing 100% secondary hydroxyl groups, is used primarily in elastomer elastomer (ĭlăs`təmər), substance having to some extent the elastic properties of natural rubber. The term is sometimes used technically to distinguish synthetic rubbers and rubberlike plastics from natural rubber. , coating and adhesive applications.

Poly-G(R) 30-400T has an average molecular weight of 420 and is a stable, practically colorless liquid that is neither volatile nor corrosive.

The new product is being manufactured at the company's recently expanded Brandenburg, Ky., facility using a process developed by Arch Chemicals' research and development labs at that site.

The introduction of Poly-G(R) 30-400T follows a previously commercialized ethoxylated trimethylolpropane (TMP) polyol, Poly-G(R) 35-610, that contains 100% primary hydroxyl groups and can also be used in elastomer, coating and adhesive applications.
