ARCADIS Awarded $52.8 Million Contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

ARCADIS (NASDAQ:ARCAF, EURONEXT:ARCAD) announced today that it has been awarded a competitive contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide onsite laboratory services to the EPA's Air Pollution Prevention and Control Division (APPCD) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Since ARCADIS began its relationship with the EPA in 1975, the firm has designed and maintained most of the APPCD's collection of one-of-a-kind research equipment and processes. As a result of ARCADIS' innovation, we developed award winning, ground-breaking control systems with the EPA that have demonstrated the potential to save millions of dollars at affected sites across the country.

This $52.8 million, five-year contract will continue the research and development of technologies related to mercury and fine particulate matter control, optical remote sensing, trace pollutant characterization and indoor air quality, including homeland security and safe building studies.
