ARCADIS Appoints Sr. Vice President and Director of Health and Safety.

DENVER -- ARCADIS (NASDAQ: ARCAF)(EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consultancy and engineering company, announced today the appointment of A.B. Robinson, Jr. as the new Corporate Director of Health and Safety and Sr. Vice President. In this role, Robinson will further develop the firm's corporate health and safety program including accident prevention, workers compensation, regulatory compliance and training; cultivating a company-wide health and safety awareness and culture; and implementing a health, safety and environment (HSE) management system, practices, procedures and auditing processes.

For more than 25 years, Robinson has served in a series of positions with increasing responsibilities in health, safety and environment (HSE) for Fluor Corporation. He helped Fluor achieve world-class rank and recognition for HSE programs. He attained a significant reduction in the number of worker's compensation claims, while attaining an incident rate in 2004 that was 52 times better than the construction industry average. Robinson is located in the firm's Greenville, S.C. office. His goal is to embrace ARCADIS clients who value safety as a priority and have them select ARCADIS as the provider of choice.

Robinson is on the Board of Directors of the National Safety Council (Palmetto Chapter), is a member and former officer with the National Construction Safety Executives, and is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council of Furman University, his alma mater, located in Greenville, South Carolina.
