Business Editors/Hi-Tech Writers

SILVER SPRING, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 2000

ARBROS Communications, Inc., an integrated communications provider, today announced the appointment of Howard F. Zuckerman as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Zuckerman's 25 years of financial management expertise includes 16 years in the telecommunications industry with Bell Atlantic Corporation (now Verizon) (NYSE: VZ). In addition to traditional financial management responsibilities, Zuckerman has directed numerous SEC filings in connection with the successful sale of public securities, and the purchase and sale of a variety of companies.

"We have deliberately set out to build one of the strongest management teams in our industry," said Jonathan Flicker, ARBROS' president and chief executive officer. "Howard's substantial experience and proven ability are exactly what we need to address our short- and long-term financing needs."

Zuckerman has held senior executive positions with Bell Atlantic's domestic and international operations. Recently, he served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and director of Grupo Iusacell (NYSE: CEL), Mexico's second largest wireless telecommunications company and an affiliate that is controlled and managed by Bell Atlantic's global wireless division.

Zuckerman also served as chief financial officer and vice president of finance for the division of Bell Atlantic's Network Services Group, responsible for its multi-billion dollar interconnection/access business. From 1984 to 1993, he held various corporate and divisional level positions with the non-regulated entities managed as the Bell Atlantic Enterprises Group.

"I am thrilled about this exciting opportunity to help a growing company like ARBROS achieve its goal of becoming a highly successful integrated communications provider." said Zuckerman. "ARBROS has done all the right things by conducting extensive research and understanding the market before launching. That's rare, and I'm glad to be a part of it."

Zuckerman's background also includes eight years with Squibb Corporation, a Fortune 200 public pharmaceutical company, and five years with Arthur Andersen & Co. He is a certified public accountant in New York and New Jersey and earned an economics degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
