ARABS-US RELATIONS - March 1 - Bin Laden Praises Cole Attack.

Al Hayat says at the Feb. 26 wedding of his son in the Afghan city of Kandahar, Osama Bin Laden praised the Oct. 12, 2000 attack on the US destroyer Cole that killed 17 American sailors in Aden. The praise came in the form of a poem the exiled Saudi read at the wedding. He condemned the Cole as he described its ill-fated voyage: "She sails in to the waves flanked by arrogance, haughtiness and false power. To her doom she moves slowly". US and Yemeni investigators are probing alleged links between Bin Laden and the suicide bombing.
