Israeli police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said Sabri was questioned over a June 1 interview in the Palestinian newspaper Al Ayyam, in which he reportedly said that Palestinians had "the legitimate right to fight Zionist occupation". Ben-Ruby added: "In addition, the mufti claimed that there is no religious law against suicide actions, rather they are legitimate acts of self-defence SELF-DEFENCE, crim. law. The right to protect one's person and property from injury.
