ARABS-ISRAEL - Nov. 6 - Militant Kills 2 In Gaza.

Ismail Mashour, a 25-year-old Palestinian militant, opens fire in the settlement of Rafih Yam in the southern Gaza Strip, killing two people and wounding a third in a brief shooting spree before he is killed by a settlement security official. Kobi Hadad, Rafih Yam security officer, told reporters after the incident: "I saw the terrorist escaping - he was running and did not have a gun with him. He threatened me with a hand grenade he had in his hand. I got out of the car, I shot a few shots at him and killed him". Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack. (The incident came as settlement security officials and the Army intensified security checks of the hundreds of Palestinians employed as agricultural labourers inside Jewish settlements and settlement compounds inside the Gaza Strip. Settlements in the Gaza Strip are dependent on Palestinian labour for their agricultural operations, despite settlers' heightened fears of attacks over the last two years of the intifada. The greenhouses, which usually are built on the desert fringes of the Gaza settlements, have been subject to frequent attacks by Palestinian militants).
