ARABS-ISRAEL - Dec. 6 - Army Kill 10 In Gaza.

Ten Palestinians are killed when Israeli troops backed by tanks and helicopters sweep into the Bureij refugee camp in the Gaza Strip early in the morning, sparking a 3-hour gun battle. The Army said the incursion was meant to catch militants but PA officials called it a "massacre", which took place during Eid el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. Army spokeswoman Sharon Feingold said five of the dead were Hamas members. She added: "We go after them [militants] whenever we have intelligence. They don't respect our holidays. They attacked on Passover. There were more attacks during Ramandan". PA officials said at least seven of the nine men and one woman killed were civilians. The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), responsible for Palestinian refugees, said the victims included two of its staff members - a school attendant and an elementary school teacher. Later in the day, thousands of Palestinians attended the funerals of the 10 victims, chanting "Revenge".
