ARABS-ISRAEL - Aug. 22 - Seven Palestinians Killed.


Seven Palestinians are killed in violence in the West Bank and Gaza, with five being killed alongside a West Bank road by Israeli gunfire. Israeli officials said a special army unit discovered Palestinians planting a bomb and opened fire, killing two. Later other armed men came to the scene, and the soldiers killed three others. PA officials said only one of the five was a gunman. In another violence, two Israeli helicopters fire four missiles at two cars in Gaza City, killing Bilal Ghoul, 21, who was a member of PA Preventive Security. The Israeli TV said the army targeted two top bomb makers and Hamas commanders, Mohammed Deif Mohammed Deif (Arabic: محمد ضيف ) Born in 1960, is a commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. He gained that position after Israel killed Salah Shahade in July, 2002.  and Adnan Ghoul, Bilal Ghoul's father, but they escaped. In southern Gaza, Mahmoud Jasser, 23, is killed in unclear circumstances. A doctor said he died in an explosion, but other Palestinians said he was shot by an Israeli sniper See sniping software. . The army said the attack was in retaliation RETALIATION. The act by which a nation or individual treats another in the same manner that the latter has treated them. For example, if a nation should lay a very heavy tariff on American goods, the United States would be justified in return in laying heavy duties on the manufactures and  for a mortar shell fired towards an army post.
