ARABS-ISRAEL - Aug. 21 - Car Explodes.
The Israeli police says a bomb has exploded next to a car near
police HQ in the Russian Compound district in Jerusalem and a second,
larger device has been discovered inside the vehicle. No one is wounded
in the blast, claimed in a statement issued in Beirut by the Popular
Army Front Return Battalion. The police says either the first bomb was
meant to set off the second one or the bomb inside the vehicle was
supposed to explode as the police investigated the original blast. The
owner of the car, an Arab from East Jerusalem, is detained, along with
two other Arabs.
