Die technology is the key to providing end products of many different formulations and shapes from one extruder. APV APV

Baker have developed a modular die format, which enables manufacturers to change product shape easily and cost-effectively, simply by changing a product-specific insert. Anything from crisp rice products to corn balls a ball of popped corn stuck together with soft candy from molasses or sugar.

Products are shaped by being forced through the die, and APV Baker is continually con·tin·u·al

The latest development is the introduction of a triple extrusion die creating the ability to incorporate two fillings to an extruded cereal cereal

tube - a combination of cream and paste, for example. This enables a wider choice of sweet and savoury flavours, colours and textures to be created for the filled and 3D pillows, and cheese straws.

As an alternative to a second filling, the triple extrusion die can also be used to intro duce air into the cereal tube at the die, improving texture and shape definition, and reducing cooling time (Law) such a lapse of time as ought, taking all the circumstances of the case in view, to produce a subsiding of passion previously provoked.

Modular die design means that both triple and co-extrusion dies can be retrofitted to existing lines as add-ons which can turn a dedicated line into a highly versatile unit.

Post-extrusion filling is an alternative to the co- and triple -extrusion process. Innovations here include high quality chocolate filled pillows. APV Baker have made developments in extruding jam, peanut butter, a wide range of snacks, and breakfast cereals This is a list of breakfast cereals. Many cereals are trademarked brands of large companies such as Kellogg's, General Mills, Malt-O-Meal, Nestlé, The Quaker Oats Company, and Post Cereals, but similar equivalent products are often sold by other manufacturers and as store own .
