APTN program wins Rosie.

Northlands Agricom in Edmonton was the site of the 2009 Alberta Film and Television Awards last month. APTN's Fish Out of Water won the Rosie for the Best Documentary Series. "APTN congratulates the producers of Fish Out of Water for their continued success," said Jean LaRose, APTN Chief Executive Officer. "Fish Out of Water is a strong example of the unique programming on APTN. Although the show's context is fun, it also has a strong message about the importance of preservation and celebration of the culture, traditions, and identity of Aboriginal peoples." Fish Out of Water was also nominated for Best Original Musical Score on Fiction. In 2008, the show earned a nomination for Best General/ Human Interest Series at the 23rd Annual Gemini Awards.
