APTA Member Liaisons to External Organizations.


The APTA APTA American Physical Therapy Association.  is currently soliciting names of members to fill a pool of potential member liaisons to external organizations. Components are encouraged to submit names of members who meet prescribed pre·scribe

1. To set down as a rule or guide; enjoin. See Synonyms at dictate.

2. To order the use of (a medicine or other treatment).

 to serve as liaisons, and individual members who wish to nominate nom·i·nate  
tr.v. nom·i·nat·ed, nom·i·nat·ing, nom·i·nates
1. To propose by name as a candidate, especially for election.

2. To designate or appoint to an office, responsibility, or honor.
 themselves may do so.

To be considered for appointment as a member liaison Liaison may refer to:
  • Liaison (French), the pronunciation of a word-final consonant due to a following vowel sound in French
  • Liaison officer a military officer who coordinates different forces or national units usually at staff level
 to external organizations, the individual must meet the following criteria:

1) If possible and appropriate, have membership in or be willing to join the organization(s) with which the Board of Directors desires to establish and maintain a liaison relationship;

2) Be willing to serve in a liaison capacity; and

3) Be recognized by peers as having the experience and knowledge to serve as a member liaison.

APTA components wishing to nominate members for any of the mentioned liaison positions may do so by submitting the nominee's name, address, telephone number, and qualifications to:

Individual members may self-nominate by submitting their name, address, telephone number, and qualifications to the above address.

All nominations must be received at APTA headquarters by December December: see month.  1, 1999.
