APRICORN INTRODUCES 1394 CARD FOR NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS.


Apricorn, a manufacturer of notebook storage expansion and data transfer products, has announced the availability of its Dual Igniter 400, a 1394 CardBus card that instantly connects high-speed multimedia peripherals to notebook computers. With transfer rates of up to 400 MB per second, Apricorn's card offers users a convenient, cost-effective solution by incorporating two ports on a single card. Most available alternatives require a separate dongle The term was originally slang for a "hardware key."
