The meal served by students to the staff has been an annual tradition at Saugus since the school opened nearly 30 years ago, student government coordinator Todd Arrowsmith said. ``They do it as an appreciation for their teachers,'' he said. ``(Teachers) don't get very much of it, and they really, really work hard.'' Becky Medina, 17, president of the Associated Student Body, added: ``Students get praised all the time for their hard work, but there aren't enough teachers getting recognized for the things they do.''
