It is the most popular vin de primeur, fermented for just a few weeks then officially released for sale on the third Thursday of November. Marche, the French-inspired restaurant at the Fifth Street Public Market, has scheduled a special dinner Thursday featuring the foods and wines of Beaujolais. The six-course dinner, with a choice of pan-roasted trout or chicken braised braise tr.v. braised, brais·ing, brais·es To cook (meat or vegetables) by browning in fat, then simmering in a small quantity of liquid in a covered container. in wine as the main course, will cost $32. The 2003 Nouveau Beaujolais from the Joseph Drouhin and Georges Duboeuf Georges Duboeuf (born 1933 in Crèches, France) is the founder of Les Vins Georges Duboeuf, one of the largest and best-known wine merchants in France. The company is known especially for its popularization and production of Beaujolais wines, leading to Duboeuf's nicknames of wineries will be served along with current vintage pinot noirs from Amity am·i·ty n. pl. am·i·ties Peaceful relations, as between nations; friendship. The Beaujolais Nouveau tasting at Sundance Wine Cellars, 2470 Alder alder (ôl`dər), name for deciduous trees and shrubs of the genus Alnus of the family Betulaceae (birch family), widely distributed, especially in mountainous and moist areas of the north temperate zone and in the Andes. St., will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Six wines from the 2003 vintage will be featured during this free tasting. They are the Georges Duboeuf, Joseph Drouhin, Domaine de Terres Dorres, Dominque Piron, Michel Picard and Beringer brands.
