APPEAL BID LOST.Byline: MIRROR REPORTER A SOUTH African man has lost his appeal against his conviction for the murder of his wife more than four years ago. The three-judge Court of Criminal Appeal said it was satisfied to dismiss Anton Mulder's appeal against his conviction for strangling his wife Colleen and rejected his claim that the conviction was unsafe. He received a life sentence. Mrs Mulder, who was from Bangor, Co Down, was found strangled to death on December 17, 2004. Mulder appealed against his conviction. Mulder had claimed the prosecution had "wrongly objected" to the use of a psychiatrist report.
