APP Pharmaceuticals Names Thomas H. Silberg Chief Executive Officer; Appoints Richard J. Tajak Chief Financial Officer.

Silberg has been promoted to president and chief executive officer, succeeding Patrick Soon-Shoing, M.D., who will remain as chairman of the board. The company also announced that Richard J. Tajak has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer, succeeding Lisa Gopala. Both Patrick and Lisa served in their roles under a shared services shared services,

Mr. Silberg joined APP in May 2006 as executive vice president, commercial operations and operational excellence and was responsible for the commercial operations of APP.
