, The University of Phoenix (UOP), one of the nations's largest private universities and Ingram Micro, Inc., a leading distributor of computer and software products, have formed an educational partnership to provide training and certification for Novell and Microsoft networks. The program rolled out in June 1995 at the University's Northern and Southern California campuses.

University of Phoenix computer labs, equipped and maintained by Ingram Micro, will serve as training sites for technical professionals who wish to obtain or enhance skills as network administrators. Each classroom provides state of the art computer hardware and software to provide students with realistic situations for installing, repairing and troubleshooting equipment.

Certified Ingram Micro instructors offer training programs that include Novell CNA (Certified NetWare Administrator) See Novell certification. , CNE and ECNE See Novell certification.  and Microsoft MCPS (MegaChips Per Second) See chip rate. , MSCE MSCE Master of Science in Civil Engineering
