APHSA meets with Obama transition team.

Members of President-elect Obama's transition team met with APHSA staff to discuss the association's priorities for the new administration. The meetings have covered Medicaid, the State Children's Health Insurance Program, and all other programs under the jurisdiction of the Department of Health and Human Services. APHSA provided team members with its proposals for immediate administrative action, available on APHSA's Unity of Purpose web site at http://www.unityofpurpose.org/unity.html. They were also given a draft summary of Focal Point, APHSA's detailed blueprint for congressional and administrative proposals that was finalized at the APHSA Policy Summit held in Nashville, Tenn., in December. Focal Point is available on the Unity of Purpose web site and in this issue.
