Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC APEC in full Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Trade group established in 1989 in response to the growing interdependence of Asia-Pacific economies and the advent of regional economic blocs (such as the European Union and the North American Free Trade Area) ), the leading worldwide conference and exhibit for practicing power electronics professionals, is soliciting papers and presentations for its 24thannual event to be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC, February 15-19, 2009. As the world places a growing importance on energy efficiency, power electronics remains an enabling and important topic. With this in mind, the APEC conference committee issues its combined call for papers and participation. Deadline for submission of paper digests is July 19, 2008.
