APE-free surfactants.Two new surfactants that are free of alkyl alkyl /al·kyl/ (al´k'l) the monovalent radical formed when an aliphatic hydrocarbon loses one hydrogen atom. al·kyl n. phenol ethoxylates (APE) have been developed by Rhodia. Rhodapex[R] LA 300 SB is a highly ethoxylated anionic an·i·on n. A negatively charged ion, especially the ion that migrates to an anode in electrolysis.
