It is an individualized program created for students who require a specially designed program for more than 30 days. . The digital video disc was produced with grant funding from the U.S. Office of Special Education, and consists of over 3,000 learning segments with motion video, photographs, still drawings, and text, all with narration. Adapted Physical Activity Resource

The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD NCPAD National Center on Physical Activity and Disability ) is an organization which promotes healthy lifestyles for persons with disabilities. In addition, NCPAD is designed to gather, synthesize, and disseminate information related to fitness, physical activity, and disability. For additional information pertaining to NCPAD or to gather resources on a specific disability topic, visit the NCPAD website at http://www.ncpad.org or call (800) 900-8086.

Adapted Physical Education National Standards Update

The Adapted Physical Education National Standards (APENS APENS Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia ) Board recently approved the expansion of two options for Adapted Physical Education certification--a) APENS certification is available to professionals in higher education, agencies, and organizations, and b) APENS certification is available to general physical educators. In addition, APENS executive board members are soliciting information pertaining to liability and placement issues concerning individuals with disabilities. To obtain additional information or an APENS application, visit the APENS website at www.TWU.edu/APENS or call (888) APENS-Exam. Also, if you have information to share pertaining to the two topic areas, please contact Ron French at apens@venus.twu.edu.
