, the authority on standards and best practices for telecom management, announced today that it has released a Market Landscape covering 36 Telecom Expense Management (TEM) suppliers. The document was created to assist enterprise IT and telecom professionals in evaluating and selecting TEM solutions for their organization.

"Many organizations spend six to 18 months evaluating TEM suppliers," said Joe Basili, Vice President of Research at AOTMP. "Part of the challenge comes from the lack of standards for what telecom expense management encompasses. Enterprises must manage all areas of the telecom expense lifecycle from: sourcing, service order management, cost management, international, usage accountability, business intelligence, to bill payment. Our goal for this Market Landscape is to help enterprises match suppliers to their challenges in managing the complete lifecycle for telecom expenses."

The Market Landscape reviews supplier capabilities as they relate to helping enterprises manage telecom expenses. "Enterprises have different needs and TEM suppliers have different strengths and weaknesses. A simple ranking of TEM suppliers would not account for the different needs of enterprises' telecom environments. A great supplier for one enterprise may be a poor choice for another," stated Basili.
