Internet company America Online (AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services. ) has reportedly introduced a free web-based e-mail service offering a 2GB storage capacity to users along with protection against viruses and spam.

According to the company, the new service aims to complement AOL Instant Messenger See AIM. , a chat application, meaning that Messenger users will now be able to use their existing screen name for their e-mail address.

In addition, AOL is offering unlimited storage space to its paying subscribers, making it the first online service to offer unlimited e-mail storage, according to the company. AOL also stated that it would allow multiple simultaneous log-ins for dial-up connections and allow members with different screen names on the same account to log in at the same time from multiple locations.
