AOL for Broadband to Offer Live Video from Two Remaining Golf Major Championships.

 Interactive AOL for Broadband Members Can Access the Live Video Through AOL.com

Just two majors are left for this year's golf season, and America Online, Inc., the world's leading interactive services company, in conjunction with Turner Sports Interactive, is giving its AOL(R) for Broadband members a chance to catch live action from these prestigious events. For The Open Championship, starting Thursday, July 15, in AryShire, Scotland, golf fans will be able to see live coverage of Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and others for the first two rounds of the tournament. During next month's PGA Championship The PGA Championship (often referred to as the U.S. PGA Championship outside of North America) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers Association of America as part of the PGA Tour. , fans will have an opportunity to see the most exciting shot in golf -- a hole in one -- through live coverage of select par three holes, for all four rounds, including the famed 17th hole.

Even if they are at work or using a computer without the AOL service, AOL for Broadband members will not miss a stroke as they can access the live coverage through the AOL.com(R) service on any high-speed Internet See broadband.  connection.

Beginning Thursday, AOL for Broadband members will be able to access live video feeds featuring complete round coverage of Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and other players in the first and second rounds, with shot-by-shot analysis. Replays of this video content will also be available on demand. They will also be able to listen to live radio coverage on AOL Sports for all four rounds and see mid-day and end-of-day highlights for each round. Additionally, AOL for Broadband's coverage will include historical video highlights of previous championships, a recap show of last year's tournament, a preview show of this year's tournament, and a recap show after the championship concludes this year.

Nationally renowned golf instructor Dean Reinmuth, known as 'The Dean of Golf,' who was Phil Mickelson's coach for 12 years and who is credited with helping to develop Phil's game since he was 14, will provide live question/answer-style commentary during The Open Championship, to allow fans to ask questions about the action as it unfolds live.

For the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits Whistling Straits is one of two golfing destinations associated with The American Club, a luxury resort located in nearby Kohler, Wisconsin, and owned by a subsidiary of the Kohler Company. The other course is Blackwolf Run.  in Wisconsin next month, AOL for Broadband members will have access to live video coverage of select par three holes, including the signature 17th, for all four rounds. Two live camera feeds will be offered on each of the holes. A stationary camera will be positioned around the tee box of each hole, with the view looking behind the players. A second camera will be stationed on a tower near the hole, zooming in and out for each tee shot and giving viewers a firsthand look at any holes-in-one. The broadcast feed will switch back and forth between the holes depending on action at each hole.

AOL for Broadband's 2004 PGA Championship coverage will also include a live audio feed for the final two hours of play during the first two rounds, and over the final three hours of play for the last two rounds. Audio updates on all players will be available every 30 minutes. Video content will include mid-day and end-of-day highlights of each round, historical highlights from previous tournaments as well as a recap show of last year's championship, and preview and recap shows for this year's tournament.

In addition to the live coverage, Turner will provide AOL for Broadband members daily video highlights and press center coverage, including player interviews and additional commentary, from this year's Ryder Cup, which is being played September 14 - 19 at the Oakland Hill Country Club in Michigan. They will also have access to video highlights from the PGA Grand Slam of Golf The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is the world's most exclusive golf tournament. It is an annual off-season golf tournament contested by the year's winners of the four major championships of regular men's golf, which are The Masters, the U.S. , a unique tournament that pits the four major championship winners against each other for a $1 million purse. It is being played at the Poipu Bay Resort Golf Course in Hawaii December 3 - 4.
