Reporting to Robert M. Kimmitt Robert M. Kimmitt (born December 19, 1947) is the current Deputy Secretary of the Department of the Treasury. He was nominated by President Bush on June 29, 2005. The United States Senate unanimously confirmed him on July 29, 2005, and he was sworn into office on August 16, , AOL Time Warner's executive vice president for global and strategic policy, Mr. Stephens, 57, will be based in Hong Kong and serve as head of AOL Time Warner's Asia Pacific policy operation, overseeing the company's policy offices and personnel in Hong Kong and other major Asia Pacific cities. Mr. Stephens joined AOL Time Warner in January 2001 as vice president, public policy (Asia Pacific), establishing the company's first public policy office for the Asia Pacific region, based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining AOL Time Warner, Mr. Stephens served for 27 years in the Canadian Foreign Service, his last position being assistant deputy minister responsible for communications, culture and policy planning at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT DFAIT Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (Canada) ) in Ottawa.
