AOL Awarded Regional Top Prize for Its Support of Women-Owned Businesses.


DULLES, Va. -- AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  announced today that it has been named the Women Presidents' Educational Organization's (WPEO) 2007 Outstanding Corporation for the DC Region.

AOL received the award for its efforts to promote women-owned businesses in the Washington, D.C. area. Last year, AOL increased the number of women-owned businesses with which it has relationships, and reported ten Done Deals - newly signed contracts with women-owned businesses - that year. In addition, AOL has been actively involved in the WPEO certification process for women-owned business, reviewing applications and participating in site visits.
