AOL Announces Strategic Alliance with PointRoll.


As Preferred Portal Partner, AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  Gains Exclusive Window to Use Several New Rich Media Ad Formats

DULLES, Va. -- AOL today announced a two-year strategic alliance with PointRoll, the leading provider of rich media services for online advertisers, that will help AOL better serve its marketing partners with new rich media products and formats.

Under the agreement, PointRoll (http://www.pointroll.com) will work with AOL (http://www.aol.com) to create new cutting-edge rich media formats - ads that are dynamic, interactive, and that can feature video and audio elements. AOL will become PointRoll's preferred portal partner, the only major portal to have such a relationship. As such, AOL will get an exclusive window to use several new media formats, including video roll in banner ad A graphic image used on Web sites to advertise a product or service. Banner ads come in numerous sizes, but are often rectangles 460 pixels wide by 60 pixels high. Also 460 x 55 and 392 x 72 sizes are commonly used.  space. PointRoll will also provide AOL with a dedicated rich media team. Specific financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
