AOCS to hold 98th Annual Meeting Expo in Quebec.

CANADA: The American Oil Chemists' Society's (AOCS) 98th annual meeting and expo will take place May 13-16, 2007 in Quebec City, QC, Canada, with nearly 2,000 expected to attend. The meeting is a joint world congress with the Japan Oil Chemists' Society (JOCS), as well as the first major conference to host the new International Society for Fat Research (ISF) lectureship series. The technical program features more than 500 oral papers and 150 poster presentations on topics related to fats, oils, lipids, surfactants and detergents, and the expo will showcase more than 100 international companies.

Short courses will precede the annual meeting on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13. Also spotlighted are the Special Hot Topic symposia on Tuesday, May 15. In addition to the technical program and other courses, a variety of social events will take place.
