"Our LCD monitors are ideal for users who work at their computers all day and can benefit from a bigger screen with sharper focus," says Chan. "Our LCD monitors also take up much less real estate on the desk."

AOC's 19-inch LCD, the LM914, delivers sharp text and icons and natural-looking colors in photographs, according to a recent review in PC World magazine, which also praised the speakers' "surprisingly big sound" and convenient volume controls. Overall, PC World ranked the LM914 as one of its' top 10 monitors, and called the AOC model "a great buy."

As part of its aggressive Latin American marketing strategy, AOC has unveiled a new corporate logo, as well as new retail and corporate packaging for its monitors. "We are investing in the AOC brand," says Patricia Fuller, director of marketing. "Our new logo and marketing materials reinforce our message of providing value and quality to Latin American companies."

AOC has been investing in Brazil since 1998, and its factory in Manaus supplies the Brazilian and Mercosur markets. AOC is an important player throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, with offices in Miami, Santiago, Montevideo, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires, and channel partners who cover the entire region. Declining worldwide prices for monitors create opportunities for Latin American companies to upgrade their technology, even on limited budgets.
