Genero db was chosen because of its high level of compatibility with the application, which had already been deployed company-wide, and because of significantly lower total cost-of-ownership. Genero db is deployed in more than a dozen stores and is planned for rollout to hundreds more stores in the near future, saving over 75 percent in database operating costs.

The in-store application, developed using Four J's comprehensive Genero development and deployment suite, powers critical store operations. Migrating to Genero db required no code changes to the application.
