ANTs SOFTWARE.COM is the owner and developer of advanced new proprietary software that vastly improves the number of transactions that can be done on a given piece of hardware, increasing the ability to scale to more powerful hardware and significantly improve the ability to distribute certain kinds of transactions over networks of servers without incurring the high level of latency costs usually paid by distribution.

Latency is the downtime or delay created by the time it takes the computer to get the data it needs.

Lawson Software (Lawson Software, St. Paul, MN, www.lawson.com) A software company that specializes in ERP for vertical markets including health care, retail, public sector, professional and financial services.  will be providing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) An integrated information system that serves all departments within an enterprise. Evolving out of the manufacturing industry, ERP implies the use of packaged software rather than proprietary software written by or for one customer.  (Enterprise Requirements Planning) software to demonstrate that ANTs proprietary software, Distributed SpeedSheet(R), will run in real business situations.

Tests previously made by Lawson, using ANTs software on the largest NT server available today, the 12-processor Unisys Aquanta, showed linear speedup and perfect scalability. When the 32-processor CMP server is available, it will provide greater processing power for enterprise computing than any existing single mainframe or parallel UNIX server available today.

ANTs software will enable businesses to outsource their expensive computer installations, with all their staff, the endless expense and cost of management time updating software and hardware, by having their records maintained by server farms, consisting of thousands of computers under one roof. These new structures will be scattered all over the world and will be the engine rooms of the Internet, providing the power for all major World Wide Web sites.

ANTs' proprietary ability to distribute the data across the Web minimizes the chance of hardware failure or downtime caused by regional disaster.
