The Fantasy, a mile and a sixteenth stakes race for 3-year-old fillies, is the kickoff race of the annual Racing Festival of the South.

The bad news, according to the Daily Racing Form, is that virtually nobody wants to run against Antespeed - who won three straight stakes victories on the dirt this year at Santa Anita after racing exclusively on the grass as a 2-year-old.

No more than two or three fillies, the Racing Form reported, will be willing to give Antespeed a shot in Friday's Fantasy Stakes.

Jetto, trained by David Vance and ridden by Larry Melancon, is described as her chief competitor with three wins in three starts.

Among the horses bypassing the Fantasy, according to the Racing Form, are Cara Rafaela, another California horse, which has twice finished second to Antespeed.

Cara Rafaela's trainer, D.
