ANTEON AWARDED SMARTCARD ISSUANCE SUPPORT CONTRACT.


Anteon Corporation, a leading information technology and engineering solutions company, announced recently that it has been awarded a U.S. Air Force task order to manufacture and operate portable Common Access Card (CAC See Consumer Advisory Council. ) Issuance Trailers. The initial task order, covering the first trailer's manufacture and issuance support, is for $464,000 with follow-on options expected to reach $5 million.

In November 1999, the Secretary of Defense directed that all DoD employees be issued a CAC by the end of 2002.
