ANTEON AWARDED $8M AEGIS COMBAT SYSTEM SUPPORT CONTRACT; $1.6M USAF SYSTEMS CONTRACT; AND $3.4M IN CONTRACTS TO SUPPORT VETS.

: ANT), a leading information technology and systems engineering and integration company, announced recently that it has been awarded a subcontract by BAE Systems to support the Navy's AEGIS ship program. This four-year contract, administered by the Naval Sea Systems Command The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the largest of the U.S. Navy's five "systems commands," or materiel organizations. NAVSEA consists of four shipyards, eight "warfare centers" (two undersea and six surface), four major shipbuilding locations and the NAVSEA headquarters, , provides support for the AEGIS Combat System The Aegis combat system is an integrated missile guidance system used by the United States Navy. It is both an integrated single ship system and a ship-to-ship network. The Aegis combat system is one of the most advanced and most capable defense systems currently in use.  Technical Director. Anteon's support work, if three option years are exercised, has an estimated value of $8 million.

Specifically, Anteon will provide support in such areas as combat system ship integration, program management, and AEGIS Test Team support. Work will be performed in Arlington,Va, Bath, Maine, Pascagoula, Miss and Washington, D.C.

The task orders are for support in the areas of training and performance support system development/implementation, course delivery system infrastructure, and development of construction-related, Web-based training for VA staff appraisers. Under these task orders, Anteon will analyze, develop, design, assess and implement training products as well as provide software engineering, systems integration and life-cycle support.
