ANTELOPE VALLEY VOTERS TO DETERMINE SEVERAL CONTESTS.

The Antelope Valley
 voters will go to the polls today facing choices in local, state and congressional races.

The polls will open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. Voter information is available by calling the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Registrar-Recorder's Office at (800) 481-VOTE.

In the Antelope Valley Health Care District, 10 candidates are running for four seats on the five-member district board.

Six people are vying for three seats that carry four-year terms. They are: Jim Aldrich, a California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. It's also home to a summer musical theater/theater program known as TADW (TeenAge Drama Workshop) that leads teenagers through an , health science professor and an unsuccessful candidate in 1994; Larry Chimbole, a former Palmdale mayor and former state assemblyman; incumbent and attorney Steve Fox Steve Fox may refer to:

In California City, running for mayor are incumbent Richard Hall, the city's former fire chief, and Councilman Paul Ingram Paul Ingram was the county Republican Party Chairman of Thurston County, Washington and the Chief Civil Deputy of the Sheriff's department, accused by his daughters of satanic ritual abuse in 1988. , the city's former police chief. Hill is seeking his second term as mayor. Ingram is making his first bid for the post.

Running for two council seats are: Jim Norris, a maintenance mechanic; Carolyne Bone, a retired city employee; Larell Anthoney, a real estate broker; Albert Rutledge Jr., an engineer; Robert Smith, a retired firefighter; Fred Hilton, a retired engineer; Harry Bailey, a retired serviceman; Nick Lessenevitch, a dentist; and two incumbents, Tom Logudice and Harold O'Brien.

In the Mojave Unified School District A unified school district is a school district which includes both primary school (kindergarten through middle school or junior high) and high school (grades 9-12). In Illinois, these districts are called unit school districts.  race, three candidates are running for two seats. Incumbent L. Wayne Dickerson, a California City police lieutenant, faces challengers Larell Anthoney, a real estate broker, and Chris Babcock, president of a concrete and gravel company.

In the Muroc Joint Unified School District election, incumbent Bruce Davies, a computer network engineer, faces building contractor Chuck James, who ran unsuccessfully for the Muroc board in 1993.

Two candidates are running for the seat in Division 6 in the Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency. They are incumbent Norman Vander Hyde and challenger William Redcay, a water division manager.

In the state Assembly race for the 36th District, which covers the Antelope and Santa Clarita valleys, Republican George Runner, executive director of Desert Christian Schools, faces Democrat David Cochran, an employee relations representative from Santa Clarita.

In the contest for state Senate's 17th District, which stretches from Santa Clarita to Inyo County, state Assemblyman W.J. ``Pete'' Knight faces Victorvile tax preparer Steven Figueroa.

In the 34th District state Assembly race, incumbent Republican Keith Olberg faces Democrat challenger Lionel Dew. The district covers the Kern County portion of the Antelope Valley.

In the 25th Congressional District, incumbent Republican Howard ``Buck'' McKeon is running against Libertarian candidate Bruce Acker, Peace and Freedom Party candidate Justin Gerber and Democrat Diane Trautman.

In the 21st Congressional District, incumbent Republican Bill Thomas faces Natural Law Party candidate Jane Bialosky, Reform Party candidate John Evans, Libertarian Mike Hodges and Democrat Deborah Vollmer.
