ANTELOPE VALLEY GETS FIRST JUNIOR-VARSITY WIN.

Antelope Valley High School Antelope Valley High School is located in Lancaster, California and is part of the Antelope Valley Union High School District. It was founded in 1912[1]. It is located in the Mojave Desert.  beat visiting Sylmar 14-8 to post its first JV win of the season Friday.

The Antelopes (1-2) had been outscored 80-20 in two previous losses.

``This was a good win for us, and real important to the kids,'' coach Brett Pape said. ``They had been working hard, and it paid off. This was a good inspiration.''

Shawn Price Shawn Price (born March 28, 1970 in Van Nuys, California) was an American football defensive end in the NFL for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills, and San Diego Chargers. He played college football at the University of the Pacific.  scored on a 22-yard pass from Mike Place, and Dajuan King added an 8-yard touchdown run.

Defensively, linebacker Tyrone Hill Tyrone Hill (born March 19, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American former National Basketball Association player who usually played power forward. Hill spent four years at Xavier University, averaging on his last season 20.2 points and 12.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 58.  recorded six tackles and one sack.

Palmdale 22, Vasquez 8: Frankie Varela scored all three touchdowns as the Falcons snapped a two-game losing skid in a muddy win at Palmdale High.

Varela, a sophomore fullback, rushed for 72 yards in 18 carries, scoring on runs of 3, 4, and 14 yards. He has 172 yards in 38 attempts on the season.

``Frankie ran the ball hard,'' said JV coach John Livermont.

Tight end Chris Niemeyer added six catches for 54 yards.

Highland 21, Victor Valley 14: Jonathon King returned a blocked punt 65 yards for the winning touchdown with five minutes remaining at Victor Valley High.

Tyrone Brown Tyrone Brown is an African-American Texan who was serving a life term in Texas maximum security prison for stealing two U.S. dollars and smoking marijuana while on probation. Highland (3-0) registered 10 sacks and limited the Jackrabbits to 56 total yards.

Hesperia 19, Quartz Hill 12: The host Rebels (2-1) dropped three passes in the last two minutes and lost for the first time this season despite Paul Byrne's 147 yards and two touchdowns in 15 carries.

Byrne ran for touchdowns of 21 and 11 yards subbing for standout tailback Raneil Calvin, who was dismissed from the team over an on-campus incident on Tuesday, according to according to

Logan scored on runs of 15, 42, and 8 yards in his first start replacing Keith Williams, who was promoted to varsity.

``Cory ran the ball real hard and showed good speed,'' coach Tom Hegre said.

Jared Marchant (38 yards, five carries) added an 18-yard touchdown run.

Hegre named Marchant and William Oates as the Lobos' top defensive players.
