The concert schedule was changed to put the big-name acts on the weekend and make them more attractive to early-rising commuters.

``We're changing our concerts primarily to alleviate the problem with commuters during the week having to go to concerts late at night and get up early in the morning,'' Antelope Valley Fair manager Dan Jacobs said.

Despite a line of ticket buyers Thursday at the box office, track and grandstand seats are still available for all the events, officials said. The box office will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day of the fair. The fair telephone number is 948-6060.

The concert lineup will feature pop, country, gospel and big-band music:

Air Supply, 8 p.m. tonight. Tickets are $15 and $12.

Waylon Jennings, 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $15 and $12.

The Doobie Brothers, 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $23 and $20.

The concert series will conclude with two free shows: ``Point of Grace,'' a gospel show, at 8 p.m. Tuesday, and a concert by Les Brown Les Brown may refer to:

Tickets for the professional rodeo at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 30 are $10 and $6.

Tickets for remaining events in the grandstand arena are $10 and $8. Those events include the Rural Olympics competition at 4 p.m. Aug. 31; the monster truck A monster truck is an automobile, typically a pickup truck, which has been modified or purposely built with extremely large wheels and suspension. They are used for popular entertainment and in some cases they are featured alongside Motocross races, mud bogging, tractor pulls and  rally at 8 p.m. Aug. 31; the Figure-8 car races at 6 p.m. Sept. 1; and the demolition derby at 6 p.m. Sept. 2.

Free entertainment at the Round Table/Coors Stage will include performances by the Guess Who at 7:30 and 9 p.m. Wednesday; Bad Moon Rising Bad Moon Rising can refer to:
