Perez, a power pitcher, was 27-4 with a 0.78 ERA with 279 strikeouts in 205 1/3 innings. ``(Perez) is actually happy about it because she doesn't have to pitch every day now,'' Vargas said. ``It'll be great when we have doubleheaders.'' Arnett said she left Seton Hall because she wanted to return to the West Coast, and hopes to parlay her sophomore year at AVC into a scholarship offer at a Div. I program in Southern California. Arnett said former travel-ball teammates Bridgett and Breanna Morales (twin sisters), who transferred to AVC too, influenced her decision to come to the Antelope Valley. ``A big factor wanting to play with them,'' Arnett said. ``They showed me a lot of highlights of wanting to play there. What attracted me the most was how much support everyone gives us. ``That was a big factor.'' Both Morales sisters played on Highland High of Palmdale's 2004 Golden League championship team and are freshmen in terms of eligibility. Bridgett Morales, a catcher/third baseman, red-shirted her freshman year at Div.
