LANCASTER - Sheriff's deputies are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a woman hit and killed by a vehicle Friday night while pushing a shopping cart along Avenue J near 40th Street West.

The woman was described as white, in her mid- to late 50s, 5 feet tall, 145 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair with brown roots. She was accompanied by two dogs when she was hit at 8 p.m., deputies said.

Anyone with information on the identity of the woman should contact traffic investigator David Davidson at (805) 948-8466.
