ANTELOPE VALLEY: PUBLIC FORUM : VOTERS SEND `RESOUNDING' MESSAGE.

Congratulations, Mr. Jim Ledford, on your ``resounding'' victory. I sincerely wish you the best of luck and I hope that you will concede to and focus your future efforts on the ``perception'' that trouble is brewing in Palmdale.

Almost half of the voters had no problem recognizing the perception as fact. Now there's a percentage to be concerned about.

The clear threat imposed by Kevin Carney to your position, in an off-year election fraught with apathy, should send an equally ``resounding'' message to you as well as the City Council - one that should not be dismissed nor ignored.

A substantial percentage of the citizens of Palmdale are telling you that they expect more from their city government, and its leader. Our voices will be heard once again in two short years should the message go unheeded.

The eyes of Palmdale will be watching you and the council closely over the next two years and the expectations will be higher than you have ever had to strive for.

Whether our numbers grow or not will depend completely on whether this city progresses to the next level or remains stuck in the status quo.
