 sheriff's officials, Heather Johnson was driving north on 25th Street East at a high speed when her borrowed vehicle slid into the southbound lane near Old Harold Road and hit an oncoming car, killing the other driver and a passenger in Johnson's car.

After the crash, Johnson caught a ride from a passing motorist. She was apprehended a short time later about a mile away, hiding in bushes.

 five marijuana plants found growing in the back yard of a Lancaster home, officials said.

Although no one was arrested in the incident, an investigation is continuing, said sheriff's Deputy Paul Ullman.

``We were able to seize five plants but there seemed to be spots for others,'' Ullman said.

According to officials, deputies received information that marijuana plants may be growing at the home in the 5500 block of Cordiva Court. A search warrant was obtained and it was served Friday. Deputies said the plants were visible over the fence.

 by intruders at a Littlerock residence, according to a sheriff's report released Wednesday.

The fish, a Japanese koi flying fish worth $150 and a fantail goldfish worth $25, were stolen Saturday from an artificial pond in the front yard of a home in the 7300 block of East Avenue U-3, according to a sheriff's report.

A frog from the pond was found with two legs torn off and another frog had been smashed, the report said. Three floodlights were stolen and two plants trampled, the report said.
