ANTELOPE VALLEY: BRIEFLY : RESTAURANT WORKER ROBBED OF RECEIPTS.


LANCASTER - A fast-food restaurant employee delivering a cash deposit to a bank Monday was robbed by a gunman who smashed his car's window at a stop light, deputies said.

Deputies believe the 24-year-old employee was followed when he left the Taco Bell Taco Bell Corp., a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc., is a Mexican-style quick service restaurant chain based in Irvine, California, United States. The restaurant has locations primarily in the United States and Canada, but also operates outlets in several other markets.  restaurant at 30th Street West and Avenue L. He was stopped at a red light at 20th Street West and Avenue K-8 about 8:50 a.m. when the gunman smashed the car's driver side window, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money.

The gunman ran off, and the victim saw no car, deputies said. The amount stolen was not disclosed.

The Loomis driver and guard told deputies they were driving west on Avenue J about 12:20 p.m. when their windshield cracked. Believing they were being shot at, they pulled into a shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  and called sheriff's deputies.

The Loomis employees did not see who fired the shot, deputies said.

2 gunmen hold up A.V. service station

LANCASTER - Two men armed with a gun robbed a Mobil gas station Monday, taking an unknown amount of business deposit money in a paper bag, sheriff's deputies said.

The robbery occurred about 9 a.m. at the station at 1854 W. Ave. K, said Deputy Darren Hager. No one was hurt.
