ANTELOPE VALLEY: BRIEFLY : RESTAURANT WORKER ROBBED OF RECEIPTS.LANCASTER - A fast-food restaurant employee delivering a cash deposit to a bank Monday was robbed by a gunman who smashed his car's window at a stop light, deputies said. Deputies believe the 24-year-old employee was followed when he left the Taco Bell restaurant at 30th Street West and Avenue L. He was stopped at a red light at 20th Street West and Avenue K-8 about 8:50 a.m. when the gunman smashed the car's driver side window, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money. The gunman ran off, and the victim saw no car, deputies said. The amount stolen was not disclosed. ?13Daily News Armored truck's windshield shot LANCASTER - An armored truck's windshield was cracked Monday by what deputies believe was a pellet from a high-power air gun. The Loomis driver and guard told deputies they were driving west on Avenue J about 12:20 p.m. when their windshield cracked. Believing they were being shot at, they pulled into a shopping center and called sheriff's deputies. No one was hurt. ?13Daily News Big-rig driver freed after kidnapping LITTLEROCK - A big-rig truck driver was kidnapped early Monday in downtown Los Angeles by two men who took off with his vehicle and dropped him off on Pearblossom Highway, officials said. The 39-year-old Oxnard man, whose name was not released, told sheriff's deputies that he was using a pay telephone at 8th Street and San Pedro Boulevard when a man pointed a gun at him and ordered him into his truck. The driver was first put in his truck's sleeper cab, then later moved to a van, which drove him to Littlerock.
