ANTELOPE VALLEY: BRIEFLY : POWER FAILURE HITS 3,000 USERS.


PALMDALE - Some 3,000 homes and businesses went without power for about 30 minutes Friday morning, as Southern California Edison Southern California Edison (or SCE Corp), the largest subsidiary of Edison International (NYSE: EIX), is the primary electricity supply company for much of Southern California. It provides 11 million people with electricity.  officials repaired two faulty circuits, officials said.

``The equipment failure may be due to high winds we've had in the area lately,'' said Southern California Edison area manager Denise Henderson.

Three crews restored service by 11:15 a.m., Henderson said.

LANCASTER - A 26-year-old prison inmate remained in stable but guarded condition Friday from a stab wound suffered a day earlier, prison officials said.
