ANTELOPE VALLEY: BRIEFLY : MAN ON PROBATION TIED TO STOLEN GOODS.

PALDMALE - A Palmdale man on probation for a Stockton murder was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property, sheriff's officials said.

Roman Lopez, 24, of Palmdale was arrested Monday in Lancaster by gang deputies after he sold items including camera equipment, jewelry and silver at a Palmdale pawn shop, officials said.

Officials said Lopez had spent several years in California Youth Authority custody for a Stockton murder in which he held the victim while others stabbed him.

Public asked to find relatives in death

PALMDALE - Authorities are seeking the public's assistance in locating relatives of a 49-year-old Palmdale woman whose naked, partially decomposed body was found beside a road in the Angeles National Forest.

Candice Renee Anderson's body was found Oct. 14 by fire crews working along Aliso Canyon Road west of Angeles Forest Highway.

``We're trying to locate her relatives,'' said Capt. Dean Gilmore of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. ``We've been using everything in our disposal and haven't been able to find anyone.''

Officials have not identified the cause of death, Gilmore said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the coroner's investigation office at (213) 343-0714.
